Technical platforms

ITI HiFunMat has a unique set of platforms for the study, synthesis and modification of materials under irradiation. Photochemistry facilities are used for molecular (LIMA, ICPEES), polymer (IS2M) and semiconductor synthesis, while the use of far UV radiation allows surface modification and functionalization at the nanoscale (IS2M). The CRT Aerial has electron and X-ray sources (Feerix, 10 MeV e-, 5-7 MeV RX) used for sterilization or modification of materials. The ACACIA platform (Icube) allows the implantation of a large variety of elements in organic or inorganic materials, as well as the analysis of materials by physical techniques (RBS, NRA, PIXE, ERDA). Finally, with the PRECy installation, the Cyrcé cyclotron (IPHC) can be used for the irradiation of materials by protons from 25 to 4 MeV.
